Regular Polybag

Base Material: PP / PE / PVC / PET
Degradation Period: +200 years – Not Bio-degradable
Advantages: Low Cost / High Transparency / Readily Available / Robust / Use in all storage temperatures
Disadvantages: Landfill Pollution / Non-Bio-degradable / Not Ocean Friendly / Negative Consumer Reaction
Product Usage: Button Bags / Shopping Bags / Garment Packaging / Bed Sheet Bags

100% Recycled Polybag

Base Material: PP / PE / PVC / PET
Degradation Period: +200 years – Not Bio-degradable
Advantages: Low Cost / High Transparency / Readily Available / Robust / Use in all storage temperatures
Disadvantages: Landfill Pollution / Non-Bio-degradable / Not Ocean Friendly / Negative Consumer Reaction

Biodegradable – with Additive

Base Material: PP / PE+ (2% additive)
Degradation Period: Compost >80% in 2.5 years – Biodegradable & Compostable
Advantages: Biodegradable & Compostable / Recyclable / Low Cost / Robust
Disadvantages: Not Ocean Friendly / Hard to identify additive usage
Product Usage: Garment Packaging / Rubbish Bags / Mailing & Courier bags / Trims Bags

Biodegradable – PLA

Base Material: PLA+PBAT
Degradation Period: Compost >90% in 6 months
Advantages: Biodegradable & Compostable / Recyclable / Colourless & Odourless / Strong / Speed to Compost
Disadvantages: High Cost / High Humidity can impact performance / Reduced storage time (1.5yrs)
Product Usage: Garment Packaging / Shopping bags / Food & Drinks Container bags / Drawstring Bags

Water Soluble

Base Material: PVLA
Degradation Period: Compost >90% in 6 months / Sewage >60% in 6 months
Advantages: Biodegradable & Compostable / Recyclable / Ocean Friendly / Speed to Compost
Disadvantages: High Cost / High Humidity can impact performance / Print Area restrictions / Reduced storage time (1.5yrs)
Product Usage: Garment Packaging / Shopping bags / Laundry Bags / Unit Dose packaging (detergents & cleaners)
